i applied to art school and all that's left is to get my high school transcript in and to finish my effing portfolio! but i don't have anything new so i need to rush some new pieces and then use some old ones as well... from like over 4 years ago ): it's really stressful, but i have to do this or else i'll regret it someday. i feel really old already so i can't wait anymore either. anyways, i haven't been using blogger much but rather tumblr.

I am not sure what I wait for anymore...

Just one word? Maybe. Just a sign that you still think of me, but maybe it's not fair bc I try to cast you out of my mind so often. Even more so out of my heart...

I bought the Hunger Games and finished reading them all. I suppose it was a pretty decent read, but I really do believe they could have been better. My favorite character would have to be Peeta. He's all man (: The most disappointing thing about the series would probably have to be... the transitions into some of the major events... Most especially the last "boss fight". Haha. If you can call it that... What bugged me a lot while I was reading the books was that, for some reason, Bella from Twilight kept coming to mind... And I absolutely detest Twilight...
Anyways, after I finished the series I wanted to continue reading so I went to the bookstore and picked up Wicked and The Lord of the Flies. I've started on Wicked and it's kinda slow, but then again I'm like only in two chapters I think haha... My bestie has the other book and I'm not sure how far he's into it yet...

I guess since I've picked up reading again (finally), I've also found myself more motivated to draw... Even to pick up my DSi and finish the games I never completed... But, what most inspired me to draw again was just watching little animation shorts on youtube. The styles, stories and creativity of all the ones I've seen make me want to create some of my own. Do something, make something that might inspire someone else as well. Bring my own characters to life and nurture them to perfection... Ahhh!!! But, I really need to improve on my coloring ): What I've been working on is so embarrassingly horrible, I don't even want to post it...

Oh. I also want to try my hand at writing (: Maybe I'll work on a children's storybook first... Work my way up.

i'm kinda depressed.
i'm getting transferred to the new store
so i won't be coming back to the old one...
well maybe to pick up my check and stuff.
but i really liked it there.
i'm gonna miss matt, too.
he was really fun to talk to.
i'll try to get transferred back,
but i think i'd make more friends at the new one.

Yesterday was Zoey's bday<3
She is officially 2 now :D
Unfortunately I wasn't able to go hang out with
her and my sister.
Had to go run some errands then off to WI.
So happy & proud of how the place has turned out.
It looks so much better now and I can't wait
for the GRAND OPENING<3
I won't be able to go on Thursday bc
I work and Lan has school,
but I think we're gonna go on Friday.
We'll be taking the older kids that helped out
and then during the weekend we'll take the little
kids out to eat at a buffet or something haha

I brought the laptop today but forgot the AC adapter.

On Friday was my older sister's 23'd birthday.
I think.
I think I'm getting old...
Forgetting my older sister's age and all...
That's a little depressing.
Anyways, she got a wii from her husband.
My arms, mainly elbows, are super sore
from playing boxing & tennis.
She also got the Super Mario Kart game too.
That was loads of fun (:
Even to my sister though...
I still can't say something as simple as,
"happy birthday"
It feels a little embarrassing...
But it's also a source of constant regret...
It's so complicated.

Today Lan & I went to his sister, Tam's place
to celebrate his little sister, Quyhn's birthday
which is actually tomorrow (technically today).
She'll be turning 18.
It was a good dinner full of seafood & snails<3
Tam's boyfriend, Loung, is really hilarious.
Sometimes, I wonder what kind of world he lives in.
His friends were also very funny.
Actually, Lan & his sisters are also all very funny.
They're all strange in general.

Oh yeah. I got a job at a grocery store :3
Though I don't know when I'll be starting.
They're opening a new store.

I'm up late again,
preparing Lan's lunch for work tomorrow.
It's fun.
Makes me feel like a real house wife...

I should try to do things faster.
I tend to start something,
pause,
think about what I'm doing for 5 minutes,
then continue with what I was doing for a minute.
The process repeats itself.

I need to learn how to work faster.

I hate the grass colours.

I was looking at someone's art portfolio and I feel a little bit discouraged.
I've never taken art seriously before so I never did anything outside of "anime" style.
Now that I look at my work, I see that I am so far behind and limited in my passion.
I think I was being too stubborn when I thought to myself,

"I don't need to do what everyone else wants me to do. I'll do what makes me happy."

How will I ever be successful with that line of thought?
As an artist, I think my path is to follow the general public's will.
I am an artist to work for others.

Ah... My back is killing me D': I was up till 3.50AM (not 4AM :D) trying to fix the art section of my webbie.
Well... It's finally up orz... after 4 more hours put into it today.
I can't stop my excitement though...

I'll be applying to art school.
First I must finish up my portfolio though :3

I'm getting more and more excited about my art.
I think I'm getting better, so I'm gonna try even harder to improve.
I just downloaded the openCanvas the other day, and I can't wait to test it out!
